All gloved up….

Recently whilst perusing some books about mens tailoring I found some really interesting recycled jackets. After week 1 and our recycling task I found this a really interesting take on the concept of recycled clothing. The collection is by Maison Martin Margiela (who else but Margiela). It has combined other garments to create an entirely new piece of clothing that is quite intriguing.

These two pieces I found to be the most interesting of the capsule collection. What I also found quite intriguing was the fact that they noted at the bottom of the description how many hours each piece took to create – 103 hours for the Jacket and 52 hours for the Vest. This is perhaps to prepare you for the price tag attached to these pieces, which according to Gush Magazine is $15,124.00 spare change really.
